Simple Summer Supper
I came back from vacation this week (more on my vacation food later). Often in the summer I have simple Michigan meals. Simple meals help out during a week of catching up on everything. The other night I had a splendid Michigan meal. It was the first corn on the cob and a plate of hummus, Great Harvest crackers, and MI veggies. On the side I had an Indiana honey rock melon. I am still waiting for the Michigan melons and cannot resist those from our neighboring state. A simple meal is easy to put together and quite delicious. It also makes a good picnic. But, we all know that it has been too hot for picnics lately. Enjoy the bounty.
