Warm Winter Meals

As you know, the main goal of this blog is to show readers how easy – and delicious – it is to eat foods local to Michigan. Below are photographs of foods that we have been eating over the winter months. They are warm and hearty.

Squash, roasted red pepper (from my freezer), mushroom, and cheese baked in a tart made from Jennings flour




MI free range chicken and vegetable pot pie served with a salad of MI lettuce and carrots




MI apple tart




Multi-grain (Jennings corn meal, spelt, and wheat flours) short bread with strawberry – blueberry sauce made from fruit from my freezer




And, of course we enjoy the chili and squash bisque from previous posts!
